Look at My Grass!

So, if any of you have moved into a new house and have had to finish the backyard, you know how happy I am right now! We have grass in our backyard, yay! Jason has been working on this darn yard for a month and a half now and we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

You may look at it and think, "why is it taking him so long?" Well, if you had seen this yard when we moved in, you would know why. He had to do a ton of work. He had to level it out a ton because there was such a steep grade, that took a while, then it was terrible dirt, so we had to get some topsoil and he had to bring it back one wheelbarrow full at a time and let me tell you, we have a long driveway! He had to put in all the sprinklers and attatch them to the pipe in the front yard. On top of this, he has been working on the front and side yards laying bark and planting flowers. What a man, right?!

Obviously, there is still some work to be done, we are going to plant some flowers and trees and stuff, but I am just exicted about the grass! We hung out back there last night and the kids thought it was great! Thanks Jason for working so hard, you're the best!

Ok, so I wasn't officially tagged, but sort or, Michelle put in her blog whoever else wants to do it, and since I've noticed most of my blog is about my cute kids, I figured it might not be a bad thing to post something about me, so here we go!

3 Surprising/Random Facts

I have never had any debt except for a car when we first got married that we paid off in three or four month and houses of course!
I am a little obsessive compulsive when it comes to cleaning and Jason has a love hate relationship with that quality of me!
Jason and I are never going to agree on a name for this baby, he wants Ammon :( and I want Landon :) I guess I shouldn't say never, we didn't agree on a name for Brynn until she was two and a half days old so there's hope, hope that I will win that is!

Put the Kitty Back in the Zoo

After church today we went to the community garden to pick all of our ripe tomatoes. While we were there we noticed for the first time about six apple trees by the garden, so Jason picked one for Jaxon thinking they would still be sour, but I tasted the apple and it was delicious. So, tonight after dinner, we took a walk to the apple trees to get a couple more apples.

There is a nice grassy area by the garden, so we sat for a while and ate our apples. Well, Jaxon decided to climb the hill by where we were which has tall grass and flowers covering the hill. Well, we got about 3/4 of the way up the hill when he froze in his tracks and started shouting, "An animal! An animal!" Jason jumped up as fast as he could because he was thinking it was something bad like a snake or something. Jaxon came down the hill and explained to us that it was a kitty cat.

By this point I was laughing so hard that I almost peed my pants (pregnancy bladder!). So, Jason decided to go up the hill to see what it really was that was up there and sure enough, it was a cat. After Jason came back down the hill Jaxon looked at us and said, "You need to call someone to come take the cat back to the zoo!"

I'm not sure if this story will be as funny to all of you as it is to me, but maybe you just had to be there because it was hilarious!

Picture Overload!

Ok, so I realize that I have been slacking a little bit when it comes to posting on here, and since I finally downloaded my pictures off of my camera, I thought I would share a bunch of pictures. I hope you don't get too bored!In June we went up to the cabin in Bear Lake with our fun friends Ben and Kate and their cute babies. We went to the lake one day and here are some pictures from there. It was Jason's brilliant idea to give Brynn an Oreo to keep her entertained while we were playing cards...what a mess, but isn't she cute!

Jaxon had a great time playing in the water. As long as he stayed in the shallow part it wasn't too terribly cold!

For the 4th of July we went back up to the cabin with some of Jason's family. At night we had a fire in the driveway and roasted marshmellows and made smores. Jaxon wasn't a big fan of the smores, but he sure loved the marshmellows. He liked the fireworks ok, but he wasn't a big fan of the ones that were loud. We had some sparklers left over so I asked him if he wanted to do more fireworks the next night and he said, "Yes, but not the noisy ones!"

Jaxon's birthday was on July 8th and I think I already posted about it, but here are the pictures finally! This was from the party we had with family on his real birthday. He loved his bike, but hasn't ridden it much since we've been so stinkin' busy!
This is his Buzz Lightyear cake. I know it's not much, but I'm not too creative, so I figured it was better than a boring old cake in a cake pan!
He also had a party with his friends a couple days after his birthday. We borrowed Jason's sisters' bounce house and water slide and they were a huge hit! Brynn stuck to the little wading pool and had fun.
Jaxon and his friend Lily liked to go down the slide holding hands, but one of them would always forget to wait for the other so they wouldn't go down at the same time...silly kids!

Jaxon got some pretty cool presents and had fun opening them. I'm not sure who was more excited for him to open this present, Jaxon or his friend Danny!
Bouncing and climbing up the waterslide works up quite an appetite in these little munchkins!
After we moved into our new house, we were eating dinner and afterward Jaxon wanted a popsicle. Well, that very day I had bought some sugar free popsicles at the store, so I gave the kids one each and I had one. They were pretty gross, but the kids ate them and look how happy they are!
Jaxon started preschool on August 5th. He was so excited! We had gone to an orientation thing the Friday before where he met the teacher and the kids and picked out a cubby and all that fun stuff. Well, I kept telling him he was going to go to school on Tuesday and have lots of fun etc. When Tuesday rolled around he was so excited, but he thought I was going to stay with him and he didn't like that idea. At breakfast we were talking about going to school and he said, "Mom, can I go by myself, I will just ride my bike." Now, I have to tell you, the school is about 10 minutes away in the car so it would be quite the bike ride, but he didn't understand this. I think he figured it I drove him to school, I would stay with him. Needless to say, he was releived when I gave him a hug and a kiss and let him go to school all by himself! What a big boy!
We love to go to Maverick and get their frozen yogurt (if you haven't tried it, it is delicious!), however, Jaxon prefers to get an Icee. So, the first couple of times he got one, he would let Brynn have a sip or two and she would get so mad when he took it back. Well, the last time we went there, Jaxon and Jason went inside and came out with Brynn's very own Icee. She was in heaven! I could hear her gulping it down, not stopping for anything because she thought we were going to take it away from her. I don't know how she didn't get a huge brain freeze!
Last weekend, we had the bounce house again and we needed to air it out, so we set it up in the driveway and Jaxon really wanted to bounce in it. It was right after we had eaten breakfast and before anyone had gotten dressed for the day, hence the reason Brynn's hair looks so crazy! Brynn had a great time bouncing and so did Jaxon!


Last Saturday I took the kids to Wheeler Farm while Jason cleaned out the garage (not fun I know, but now I can park in the garage, wahoo!) The kids had a good time. They had fun looking at the animals and Jaxon had fun feeing the ducks. We weren't able to stay too long because it was nap time and me and my pregnant brain forgot to put sunscreen on the kids! I want to go back when we have more time and when it's not so hot because it is pretty fun! I'm not sure why this us underlined, but oh well!

Jaxon also had a dentist appointment last week and did excellent! I have pictures, but they are on my phone, so I'm not going to put them on here! Our dentist is great and the one thing Jaxon really wanted to do was the squirt the water they squirt in your mouth all over the place, so the dentist said if Jaxon let him look in his mouth, when he was finished he would let him squirt the water, so Jaxon sat so still and was so good that he got to squirt the water all over the place and had a great time doing it! If anyone is looking for a good pediatric dentist, I highly recommend Nate Stevenson at Stevenson Pediatric Dentistry...he is awesome!

Well, that's what we have been up to for the last little while. I am headed off to St. George to visit my parents tomorrow until Sunday so that should be fun. Wish me luck on the drive though! Hopefully I will have two sleeping children most of the way!

Where Oh Where Could They Be?

Wonder what I am talking about, well my garbage cans of course! So, we have been in our house for a week now and still no garbage cans. Now, I am not talking about inside garbage cans, I am talking about the big outside garbage cans. Do you know how hard it is to live without those things?! Do you know how much trash you have after moving into a new house? It's not like I didn't do what I was supposed to, I just think the people at South Jordan City are not that bright! I went in on the 21st of July and filled out all the paperwork and told them even though it was an existing house, we needed garbage cans. Then, when we still hadn't seen them by the 29th, I called and they said we should have them in 24 hours. Well guess what, we still don't have them and I am a little frustrated about it if you can't tell!

We Made It!

So, we are finally all moved in...wahoo! Now, I said moved in, but I didn't say unpacked, actually, I think we are doing pretty well considering we've only been in since Friday night. I think I have unpacked most of the boxes that are in the house, but there are more in the garage, but I am not sure what's in them! I haven't unpacked the food storage though...that does not sound fun to me at all, but it has to get done. A word to the wise, if you are planning on moving soon...don't start food storage, it is a pain to move, but I am so grateful we have it! I am going to have to break into it soon, because I am running out of wipes and that where all he wipes are stored. There are seriously like twenty big boxes of just food storage stuff...wish me luck!

Thanks to my parents, who drove up all the from St. George to help us unpack, even though I tried to convince them not to, but I am so grateful they came up because they were such a huge help! I couldn't get my Dad to sit down and stop working the whole time they were here. Thanks to him, I have stuff hanging on my walls and everything! I think Jason is very happy about that because he hates to hang stuff!

Thanks to Jason, we even had blinds up by Saturday, which is good considering we have 16 windows on the main floor, so we felt like we were in a fishbowl! We love our new house and if you are ever in the neighborhood and want to stop by to see us, feel free, we love visitors!

So Grateful!

So, we are still in the process of moving...just waiting for the funding for the people buying our house to go through. It should go through by Friday so we can move in the new house on Saturday. We thought we were going to be able to move in a lot faster, like by today or tomorrow, so we packed most of our stuff into portable storage boxes on Saturday and Monday. I never realized how much I take some stuff or granted. For instance, couches...we moved all of our couches into the port-a-boxes, some going to storage until the basement is finished and others until we get to move in. Can I just tell you how uncomfortable it is to sit on the hard floor and watch tv or a movie with no couch to sit on! Not fun at all!

Also, Jason wanted to move our fridge into the port-a-box while he had help on Monday night, so we have been living without a fridge since then. Doesn't sound like too big of a deal, but do you know how many times I have gone to the fridge to get cold water and it wasn't there! Jason said tonight he has never wanted ice water so bad in his life!

Right now I am sitting on the floor, typing with the keyboard on my lap because our desk has been moved out as well.

It really is amazing how much I take for granted and it makes me so grateful that I am so blessed to have all of these modern conveniences! So, next time you go to sit on your couch, get a cold drink with ice or get milk out of the fridge, be thankful you have those things:)

We did it!

We sold our house! Wahoo! We actually got an offer a little over two weeks ago, but we were waiting to hear back on the house we were buying to see if they accepted our offer. We were supposed to hear back on the 1st, but the guy who was in charge of this particular house was on vacation until the 7th, so we thought we would hear on the 7th. I thought, what a great birthday present that would be, but we didn't hear from them.

Well, Jason called me at around 11:00 today and told me they accepted our offer! I was so excited, but I guess I didn't sound too excited (it could have had something to do with me trying to make a Buzz Lightyear cake for Jaxon, Jaxon trying to help me make the cake, Brynn making a huge mess, etc.) but I really am. They want to close on the 21st! That only gives us 13 days to get everything ready...how crazy is that! I get a little overwhelmed just thinking about having to move all of our crap...we have way too much!

I am so excited to move to a house that is better for entertaining than our current house is. We had people over for my birthday yesterday and it was a little crazy and this other house will be so much better for that! On to another adventure in our life...moving, finishing yet another basement (thanks Jason!) and having another baby in yet another house! We are so excited though.

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Today my cute little man turned 3! I can't even believe he is that old, it seems so crazy to me! We started a tradition last year where we decorate the door of the birthday person, so last night Jason and I were up until like midnight decorating Jaxon's door...we just put up some streamers and taped some suckers and treats on the door. Well, this morning Jaxon called for me (he stays in his bed until I come to get him) and said he needed to go to the bathroom. Well, as soon as I opened the door and he saw it was all decorated he said, "Happy birthday to me!" It was so cute!

The rest of our day was spent going to the gym, making a Buzz Lightyear cake, Jaxon eating way too many treats, and me making last minute trips to the store for presents (both my birthday and his birthday snuck up on me this year and I was not preapred!).

We had a little party with family tonight and Jaxon got a lot of fun stuff. He got a new big boy bike from the grandparents, and we gave him a bunch of stuff to play with outside, but the biggest hit of the night was the kitchen we got him! He absoultely loves it and would not stop playing with it all night! Then we had cake and ice cream and all the fun stuff.

I have to say the best part of the night was when Jaxon and his cousins decided to go inside and play and the adults stayed outside to visit. Well, I sent Jason inside to get something and to his surprise, he opened the door and saw that Jaxon had opened about three of his presents without us knowing! We had already given him the kitchen and he opened presents until he found dishes and food to go with it! What a silly little boy!

Once again, I will hopefully post some pictures tomorrow, things have been a little crazy around here lately!

We're Having a...

Baby! Just kidding...we had our ultrasound last Thursday (I'm a little slow at getting this news posted aren't I?). Well, the ultrasound tech told us first we were having a girl and I was happy, but I had thought all along it was a boy, so I was thinking my instincts were totally off. But then, when she was almost done, she looked a little closer and decided that it wasn't a girl after all, but that it was a boy! So, my instincts weren't wrong after all! He looks healthy and everything looks good, so we are very grateful for that! We are very excited to have another boy and Jaxon is also pretty excited although, I don't think he would have cared either way. I have some pictures and video, but I don't have time to post them right now, but I might get around to that later!

Two Days in a Row!

Here is one for today! I was surprised I got one today, but I did, yeah! Again, pretty simple, but at least it's done!

On a Roll!

So, I'm on a roll today for scrapbooking, don't worry though, I'm sure it won't last too long! These are what I got done today. They are pretty simple, but that's why I was able to get four of them done in a couple of hours! Now I just need to hurry and get Jaxon caught up and I will feel better, but I don't really think that's going to happen!

Brynn's One Year Pictures & Jaxon's Three Year Pictures

We had another session with our wonderful photographer, our very talented neighbor Emily last Friday. We took the kids down by the lake and took some pictures then went to a park right by our house to do some more. The kids were pretty good, oh who am I kidding, they weren't that good at all! Brynn was good for the first 10 minutes and Jaxon was a booger to start with, but I think she still got some great shots. Emily said she was embarrassed to give the CD to me because she didn't think they turned out very good...all this stuff about lighting and the background, stuff I don't really notice too much! She really wants to do them again, so I told her if she had to...who can have too many pictures of their sweet children right? There are a lot more pictures I could have posted, but I thought that would be like cruel and unusual punishment to some of you, so here are some of my favorites! Ok, I'm off to pick up the house and wake the kids up from their nap so they can show our house...AGAIN!

Slacker!

So, I know I haven't been posting as much as I used to and I haven't done a scrap book page in who knows how long, but it seems every time I sit down at the computer and do all the stuff I have to do, I am tired and decide to go read a book then fall asleep for about a 1/2 hour on the couch. I know it sounds pretty lazy, but I have been so stinkin' tired this pregnancy I figure I better nap while I can because in about 5 months, I won't have that luxury. So, as long as my kids are still napping at the same time, I am going to try to sneak in a nap here or there!

Brynn had her weight check on Monday and she is up to 17 lbs 7 oz, so she gained 1.5 lbs in 6 weeks which the doctor was very happy about. I am pretty happy too, only 2.5 lbs to go until she can turn around in her carseat! We're hoping by her 15 month appointment on July 30!

I also had a doctors appointment last week on Thursday and everything is great and the really exciting part is that we scheduled the big ultrasound for June 26! I am very excited and can hardly wait!

Ladybugs!

A couple of weeks ago Daybreak had a ladybug release party thing at all of the community gardens, so Jason, the kids and I ventured to our garden to join in. Apparently ladybugs are carnivorous and eat other bad bugs in the garden so they are really good to for the gardens, don't worry, we made sure we got lots in our garden plot :)

They didn't start until 8:00 pm and that is 1/2 past the kids' bedtime, so we got Brynn in her pj's and ventured out. She wasn't too sure what was going on, but thought it was fun to watch everyone.

At first Jaxon wasn't too sure about the ladybugs. The kid releasing the ladybugs tried to put one on Jaxon, but he wasn't having any of that.

Our neighbor Cami put one on Jaxon and he decided it wasn't too bad if Cami and Lily were doing it. He was interested in the ladybugs for about five minutes then it was off to play with his friends that had come. It was a pretty fun activity and I'm glad we got to go!

St. George Pictures

Well, I've finally gotten around to downloading the pictures from our St. George trip a couple of weeks ago. We had so much fun while we were there, I don't think the kids ever got bored!

Jaxon and Brynn swinging at a very fun park a few minutes from my parents' house. I wish Daybreak would do something like this! This was Brynn's first time swinging and she absolutely loved it!

Jaxon climbed this rock wall thing all by himself, well maybe Grandpa helped a little bit, but he did really well!

About 10 minutes from my parents house there is a little lake with all of this really fine red sand so we took the kids to play in the sand an they loved it! I didn't think Brynn would like it much, but she had so much fun. It was nice because it wasn't like the sand on the beach that sticks to you and you can never get it off, if just comes right off. We had a lot of fun here!


This is a pictures of Jaxon at the pool using his cool water soaker things. He had so much fun swimming and did a great job. Brynn liked swimming too, but I didn't have any good pictures of her at the pool.

Just a little update!

So, I have been MIA for a while so I thought I would write a little something just to let everyone know I am still alive! Things have been busy around our house lately. Our house is still on the market and we have actually been showing it quite a bit, just waiting for the right person to see it and fall in love with it! I must admit, it is quite exhausting to keep my house perfectly clean at all times, but it won't last forever right?! We are kind of disappointed nothing has happened yet, but I have to keep reminding myself, it's only been on the market for 3 1/2 weeks...I guess I have to have patience!

The kids are doing great. I joined Gold's Gym about a month ago and I go about 4 times a week and Jaxon absolutely loves it! He asks everyday if he gets to go to the gym because he loves to play with the kids. He also loves his playgroup he goes to on Mondays. He has a new "favorite friend" each week. He is so fun, but a stinker also! He hates it when I sit down with him and try to teach him something, so I try for a while, then give up because I am so frustrated and I think that he hasn't learned anything, but he continues to amaze me with what he knows and learns when I don't think he is learning anything! He is very excited to start preschool in August and I am also quite excited too!

Brynn is getting bigger! She has a doctors appointment on June 9th and I am so excited to see how much weight she has gained. She feels heavier when I am holding her for an extended amount of time. I am just waiting for her to kit that 20 lb mark so she can turn around in her carseat, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't weigh that much yet! She is starting to talk more...she can say Jaxon (and it actually sounds like Jaxon), Dad, and Tess. She isn't walking quite yet, but I'm pretty sure she will be soon...she can stand on her own, but she is such a chicken and when we realizes she is doing it, so drops down as fast as she can, little stinker!

Jason and I are just having fun being parents and are so excited for the warmer weather to finally be here. Jason planted our garden on Monday (in the rain) and we are so excited to have tomatoes in a couple of months. I'm glad Jason likes to do that kind of stuff because I don't really like to do it. Thanks sweetie!

I am actually in St. George right now visiting my parents. We got here on Tuesday and will be here until Saturday. I decided it would be a lot easier to keep my house clean if we weren't there! Jaxon and Brynn are having so much fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa. It's nice to get away for a little while even though we miss Jason! (too bad he has to work!)

One more bit of exciting news...some of you may already know this and others don't and I was going to try to not say anything for another month or so, but here we go...We are having another baby! I am due on November 19 (Jason thinks it would be fun if the baby were born two weeks early and his birthday November 5, I wouldn't mind as long as everything were ok!) We don't know if it is a girl or a boy yet, but we are pretty excited and time has gone by pretty quick. I can't believe I am already 15 weeks along! That means we get to find out what it is in about a month! So, that's our exciting news.

I hope you weren't all bored with my long post, I just thought I would write a little update and I had time, so why not!

So, we are trying to sell our house. Here's the story...we put an offer on a house about two months ago (don't worry we'll still be in Daybreak!) and we heard today actually that they accepted our offer which is great, but we do have to sell our house. I'm Back!

So, did you think that I died or dropped off the face of the earth? Well I didn't, I just needed a little break from scrapbooking! Well today I got the inspiration that I needed! I looked on Shutterfly to see if they were having any good deals and I found out that I can get Brynn's 1st year scrapbook that is 82 pages for $70 shipped! I was so excited! The original cost was $170, but I found a bunch of coupon codes and whatnot to drop it down to $70. So, I had to hurry up and finish her book, so here are three pages that I finished today and her book is now finished, well except I have to design the cover and back, but I have until Wednesday, but who knows, I might just stay up tonight and do it!
