Chocolate!

We had some friends over for dinner on Friday the 28th, thanks for coming Chelsea and Steve and Emily and Chad! We had gotten a chocolate fountain for Christmas and Jason was so excited to try it out. So, after dinner we started it up and gave it a try. I'm not sure who liked it more, the men or the kids! Jaxon, Conner and Andalyn had so much fun dipping stuff in the chocolate we had to tear them away from it because we didn't want them to get sick! They were all a huge mess when all was said and done, but they had a great time! We love getting together with our friends and Jaxon loves when he gets to play with Andalyn and Conner he had been asking all day if they were at our house yet and when they finally got to our house, he was pretty excited!
Count Chocula aka Conner!
Concentrating very hard, he doesn't want it to fall off!
What a mess!

Playing with Christmas Toys!

Here are pictures of the kids playing with their Christmas toys. I think she likes it!

Yes, Jaxon has jeans on with his pajama shirt, that's what he wanted and have you ever tried to reason with a 2 year old?!

Santa Came!

I wasn't sure what Brynn would like of Christmas since she is so little, but she loved it! She even liked opening presents which was really fun. At first she wasn't sure what to do.

But then she figured it out and thought it was great!

Then she thought that she should help Jaxon unwrap his presents too!
I think she likes her new toy!Isn't she so cute!

More Christmas

Santa even brought Jaxon presents! He was pretty excited about it even though in this picture it doesn't look like it...it just takes him a while to wake up!
He wasn't excatly sure where to start! But he soon figured it out!
This one was a little tought to get to!
The Elmo book he wanted...how in the world did Santa know!?

Grandma & Grandpa Greensides' House

We went over the Jason's parents' house on Christmas afternoon and had a good time there. The kids got to open their presents from Grandma & Grandpa and loved them! I wonder how they knew exactly what to get them! They are amazing! We had a lot of fun visiting and watching the kids play. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Greensides!

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve everyone (my mom & dad, my grandma, and my sister and her family) came to our house. It was so much fun. My mom was so excited for all the kids to open the presents she had made and bought for them that they got to open them on Christmas Eve. Jaxon was thrilled! Brynn didn't really know what to think, she was very happy sitting with Grandma though!
Grandma & Grandpa Wallace got Jaxon a big Tonka truck, he thought it was great, even though he wanted to play with his cousins' My Little Pony house most of the night!
Grandma Wallace made Jaxon a really nice fuzzy cars blanket. Jaxon couldnt' wait to wrap it around him to test it out!
Here's the Car's sheet to go with the blanket and he also got a pillow case too! Grandma is amazing!
Jaxon had played hard all day long and by the time 8:30 rolled around he just wanted to watch a move. Everyone else was playing the Wii on our TV, so we set up the portable DVD player in the play closet and Jaxon decided to sit in his new dump truck with his new pillow and his new Elmo (thanks Lacey and David and kids, he LOVES it!) and watch a movie! What a cute kid!

12-26-07

Here is my page for today. It's pretty simple, but not too bad I guess...I didn't have a ton time to work on it (Brynn's waking up as I type), but I thought it was ok. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, I will post pictures of our Christmas later...Hopefully!

Scrapbooking Resolution

Ok, so I am starting a New Year's resolution early! I really want to get caught up on my scrapbooking (I am six months behind with Brynn and five months behind with Jaxon!), so I decided I am going to do at least one page a day and I will post it on here to try to motivate me to do it! Now, don't laugh at me if I totally don't keep this resolution, but I will sure try!

Here is a page I finished yesterday, not my favorite, but it's ok!

I hope you enjoy my pages!

Potty Time!

Jaxon is finally getting the whole potty thing! Two nights ago, I was getting him ready for bed and asked if he wanted to go potty and he said yes, so I put him on his potty and asked if his "wet" was coming, he said yes, concentrated and out it came! I thought for a little while it might have been a fluke, but the next day, he went all day without going "wet" in his diaper! Now, poop is another story, he doesn't want to do that in the potty!
We had been telling Jaxon for a while that if he went potty in his potty, he would get a special sucker (ring pop), so he was pretty excited when he got it! Just a disclaimer, his room isn't always this messy, he had to get ALL of his books out to read while he was sitting on is potty! What a cutie!

Sparkling Apple Cider

Some neighbors brought us some sparkling apple cider and Jason opened it the other night. Jason likes to drink it from the nice "wine" glasses, so of course Jaxon wanted to drink from it too! It was so cute. Then when the glass was empty, he decided he should drink it from the bottle, too bad I didn't get a picture of that!

Christmas Spirit!

I think Jaxon is trying to get us in the Christmas spirit and everyone else he sees too! He loves to sing songs and lately his favorite are Christmas songs. He loves Jingle Bells and Rudolph right now. He can hear a song once and know almost all of the words, he's amazing!

We were at Macey's the other night and we were walking down an isle and we past a gentleman and Jaxon started singing, or should I say shouting, Jingle Bells. The man thought it was pretty funny and told Jaxon he did a great job singing. Of course after that, he had to sing the rest of the time we were in the store! You can't help but smile when you hear him sing!

Santa!

On the 16th we had Jason's family Christmas party. Santa always comes and brings the kids presents. We were a little worried about how Jaxon would do with Santa because about three weeks ago, they had a Christmas Celebration at our community center and Santa was there and Jaxon freaked out! He was so scared of him. He clug to Jason's neck the whole time until Santa left, then he said he liked Santa and Santa was nice.

So, we were worried about how he would do. Jason talked to him before and told him that Santa was coming and Jaxon was a little unsure about it. Then when Santa walked in, he was still very unsure of him.

Then as Santa started giving out presents, Jaxon relaxed a little bit, but as soon as he saw that Santa had candy canes, he decided it would be ok to sit on his lap.

He did very well. He even let us get a picture of him and Brynn together on Santa's lap and gave Santa a hug when he left.

Brynn thought Santa was ok, she especailly liked to pull on his beard, but I don't think he enjoyed that too much!

Playgroup!

On Monday the 16th, we had about six kids over for a playgroup. Needless to say, my basement was a disaster afterward! Jaxon had a great time though and was happy to have his friends over to play. Brynn thought it was great because there was a little girl who loved playing with Brynn, so she was entertained. It was a lot of fun!

12-8-07

We were in Bear Lake for the first big snow of the season, but lucky for us, the next weekend we had another big storm! Jaxon saw some neighbor kids outside playing so he wanted to go play in the snow. I hadn't gotten him any snow boots yet, so Jason figured something out to make sure his feet didn't get cold and outside they went while I was getting Brynn bundled up. I took Brynn out for about five minutes and she thought it was great, but she has been sick so I didn't want her out there any longer than that! The neighbor kids had started making a fort and Jason and Jaxon worked on building that up some more.

My favorite part of the snow fun was when Jaxon was walking to one of our neighbors houses to knock on the door because he wanted someone to play with (this little girl is like seven and gets a little bugged when Jaxon wants to play with her) so we kept telling him to stop and he wouldn't, so Jason started throwing snowballs at him to try to get him to turn around. He threw about four and missed and the fifth one hit Jaxon right on the head. Jaxon didn't know what to think. It didn't hurt him, but he was trying to figure out what in the world it was! It was hilarious. The last picture is of Jason cleaning the snow out of Jaxon's hood!

Christmas Cheer!

How can you not have Christmas cheer after seeing this cute little face in that shirt! Brynn is growing, finally! We took her to the doctor to get shots on Dec 4 and she weight 13 lbs 14 oz! She is almost 14 lbs now! I am so excited! She is our tiny little princess. She was sitting in the tub the other day and I made Jason come in and look at her because she is actually getting a bit of a tummy!

Christmas Decorating!

We were very excited to decorate for Christmas this year! I think it is the first year we have decorated before Thanksgiving. Jaxon thought it was awesome! For about a month, ever since Target put all their trees on display, we would go to Target and Jaxon would see the Christmas trees and say, "Happy birthday to you!" and I would tell him it wasn't a birthday tree it was a Christmas tree. But even after that, every time he would say, "Happy birthday to you!" so finally I told him it was a birthday tree, it was happy birthday to Jesus tree, so now whenever he sees a tree he says, "Happy birthday to Jesus!" Sometimes it takes our children to remind us what the season is all about!
Jaxon helping "fluff" the tree! He gave up on this as soon as he saw the stockings...see below!Jaxon had a good time putting up the tree and he thought it was cool, but his two favorite parts were the singing mickey stockings and the candy canes! I had totally forgotten about the stockings because I bought them last year after Christmas, but as soon as Jaxon found out that they sang, he was all over them! We have two of them, one for Jaxon and one for Brynn, so lucky for us, he will push the button on both of them at the same time so they sing at the same time...it's great! He has to do that at least 2 or 3 times a day. He will carry them around the house and show Brynn, he loves them! Jaxon's other favorite part of decorating was the candy canes that went on the tree. Mind you, these candy canes are probably 4 or 5 years old, we never ate them off the tree, so we just saved them and used them the next year. It didn't seem to bother Jaxon that they were so old, he dug right into them!
