Finally Uploaded Pictures From My Camera!

Admittedly, I am terrible and uploading pictures from my camera to the computer in a timely manner, so that is the reason for these giant posts with tons of pictures, so hope you don't mind!

When we got our drywall done for the basement, the workers were taking their garbage and stuff out the window well and the kids thought it was great, they sat there and watched for a good 5 minutes. I am SO glad we hired someone to do the drywall, so nice to have it done...now bring on the paint and carpet is scheduled to be installed on the 22nd! Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!

This is Jordan and his cousin Sam who is two weeks younger than Jordan...but you couldn't tell from the picture. Jordan has his four month appointment on March 23 and he was very little (12.9 lbs which is the 5th percentile, but his height was the 75th) so with some supplementing and medicine to help me produce more milk, three weeks later he was up to 14 lbs!

Jaxon was invited to a birthday party where he was supposed to dress up as his favorite super hero, so he chose Mr. Incredible. Luckily, my mom came up a couple of weeks before the party and made this adorable cape for him, isn't it awesome?! I really should learn how to sew, but that would take a lot of time, which I don't have any of right now!

Isn't he cute? I love that little smile!

I am so excited for the basement to get done for this reason...I can get rid of the corner o' toys in my living room upstairs...I hate the toys, but love that cheesy little girl!

Brynn insists that we swaddle her baby because she sees us swaddle Jordan, the only problem is she has a royal fit when she comes unswaddled, but yet, she carries her by the head, so what can you do right?

I love this picture, I think he looks so handsome, even if he is in a pink bumbo!

At Jordan's four month appointment, the doctor wanted me to start him on food to try to get extra calories in him...so I started solids and these are the results...the food went in the mouth, and promptly came back out! Not sure how much he actually ate, but he seemed to like it. I even made my own baby food, not as hard as I thought it was going to be!

Jaxon loves to help Jason in the basement and Jason gave him these ear plugs to wear while he was down there and Jaxon thought they were pretty cool and I thought they were pretty funny!

If she had more hands, she would have carried more!

My parents came up over Conference weekend, so we had a get together with my sister and her family and decided to do a little egg hunt. It was a lot of fun and the kids thought it was great and ate all of their candy in a little less than an hour...amazing!

Does he look scared? He should because Brynn kept trying to climb in the seat with him...poor Jordan, if he can survive Brynn, he can survive anything!

So, with Jordan I will cover his eyes with his feet and play peek a boo, well, Brynn thought this would also be a fun game for her to play...isn't she cute! And yes, so does have a constant runny nose lately, so that is snot you see in all of her pictures! YUCK!

Girls Night Out

Well, I'm a little slow posting this one, but at least it got posted! On March 20, some very fun girls from my neighborhood had a girls night out. We went to Biaggi's at the Gateway...very delicious by the way.

then we walked around the Gateway and on our walk ran into this....
The one in the middle is Gev from So You Think You Can Dance. It was so cool to watch them dance, it was really amazing.

Of course we all had to get a picture with them...who wouldn't, right?

Jenn, Annelise, Lori, and I. Jenn and Annelise were my old neighbors (before I moved a half mile down the street) and Lori bought our old house.
Cami and I...we have known each other since we moved in 2 1/2 years ago and have been great friends since, same with Annelise in the picture above this one...Jaxon loves playing with their kids, they are really great friends! (FYI I HATE my hair in this picture and have since gotten it cut!)

We stayed overnight and a great hotel downtown and had a ton of fun...we did pedicure, facials, and talked and ate a lot, it was so much fun! I was awake until 4 am! Crazy, the one night I didn't have to wake up with a baby, I didn't take full advantage of it, but it was so nice to sit and relax and not have to take care if kids for one night! I had a great time with these girls and it was so much fun to get to know some of them more and to just have fun...I think we should do it again, soon!

I also have to say that I have the BEST husband for being so supportive of me going. I think he was almost more excited for me to go then I was because I haven't done anything like this for a long time. He wanted to make sure I had a great time. Not many husbands would be so supportive when it meant they had to take care of three kids by themselves, one being a four month old who doesn't sleep through the night yet! It was so nice knowing that the kids were well taken care of and that things at home were under control. Jason, you're the best and I love you tons!

Silly Jaxon

Okay, so I haven't posted in a long time...again...but I need to post this because it is just so darn funny and I want to remember it in 10 years when my little mind forgets it, heck I want to remember it in 2 weeks!

Anyway...about a month ago, we were eating dinner and Jaxon ate like two bites and told us he was finished. We told him if he was finished he didn't get anything else to eat the rest of the night...no treats, no snack before bed, nothing. He said that was fine. I reiterated this to him about five times to make sure he understood exactly what not eating his dinner meant and he understood and dumped him plate in the sink.

Well, about ten minutes later when Brynn got some pudding for dessert, Jaxon was very upset he didn't get any and Jason was explaining to him why he didn't get any and Jaxon looked at us and said, while crying, "I thought Jesus would give me better parents." Then I asked if he wanted different parents and he said yes!

How sad is that?! Don't worry though, the next day he told me he didn't really want differnet parents and that he liked having us as parents! What a little stinker, huh?

The Past 2 Months in a Nutshell!

So, I have a ton of pictures to post and I have been so busy lately that I never got around to it, but here it is Thursday night and Jason is watching Fringe that he had recorded and I am not into that show, so I figured now is as good as time as any to update my blog...finally! Sorry there are so many pictures, but I think they are all just so darn cute!

Jordan is such a cute little boy...we love him so much! He still likes to be swaddled when he sleeps...I think he's pretty close to sleeping through the night, he wakes up but doesn't eat, I just need him to not wake up! This having a baby that doesn't sleep through the night by the time they are a week old is killing me!

Aren't these kids the cutest? Jaxon and Brynn love to "play" with Jordan and quite frankly, I will be surprised if he makes it to his first birthday...totally just kidding, but they like to love him a little too much, especially Brynn!

This is our crazy Jaxon...what more is there to say?
I thought this was so darn cute, I was doing laundry and ran to put something away really fast and came back to this...she's reading to him, for once she's not trying to torture him!
Jaxon loves to vacuum the tile! I think he gets it from me...not that I love to do it, but I am always doing it because these little munchkins make big messes. His favorite thing to do with the vacuum is to take the hose and put it up to his face so it sucks his face off...he does this to Brynn too who doesn't enjoy it quite as much!
Jaxon trying to lick his elbow...need I say more? (we let him pick out his own jammies, he does a great job matching them doesn't he?)
Look at those eyes...I was too lazy to Photoshop the red out, but aren't they cute?
Handsome boy!
This is what happens when I thought I gave her only washable markers, but her brother snuck her a non washable makers which resulted in "smurf face" for about a day! She likes to eat the markers...she's special!
My friend Cami made a towel for Jordan when he was born like this only blue and the kids always fought over it, so I asked her if she could make one for Jaxon and Brynn, well, Brynn loves it so much, this night she refused to take it off her head, even after she was in her jammies...silly girl!
One night Jason's sister and brother-in-law came over so Jason and Russ could work on the basement. We decided to let the kids make cookies...how cute are they!
She's such a big helper...I was unpacking from our St. George trip and she found this bottle and decided to feed Jordan...Surprisingly, he was entertained and didn't get too mad!
We took a trip down to St. George over President's Day to visit my parents. In my parents neighborhood, they have a little fishing pond, so Jason took Jaxon one day and they caught this fish...its really to small to keep, but it swallowed the hook, so they had to keep it. Jason said they got there and within like 10 minutes had caught 2 or 3 fish and there was a family that had been there for an hour and hadn't caught anything...he felt kind of bad!
Jaxon and Brynn love Grandma & Grandpa's jetted tub...they are pretty excited that we are putting one in our basement so they can have lots of bubbles!
I got this backpack as part of a luggage set on clearance at Target for Jaxon...well Brynn loves it! She will walk around the house with the backpack on all day and if it falls off she will whine until I help her put it back on. She also loves her Princess slippers, but we lost one and I have to find it...good luck, right?
The basement is coming right along...the drywall people should start next Thursday (so glad we are having someone do it!) Jason is so sick of working on the basement, but he is almost done! The kids love to go down there and "help" Daddy. Jason says they are generally pretty good and stay out of the way...I think it's cute!
Jaxon likes to sweep up the sawdust...such a tidy little boy!
Jason told me the other day, when Jaxon wants to come upstairs and is done being in the basement, he will ask Jason if he can be done of the night, as if he's at a job and needs to know if he can leave for the night...isn't he cute?
We've spent a lot of time (and money) at Lowe's and Home Depot...it's almost become our second home!
Jordan is tired of being at Lowe's!
She might look sweet but looks can be deceiving, trust me! She is a bully around our house...she is a terrible hair puller, any advice on how to make her stop that? If she knows something bugs you, she will keep doing it over and over again just to bug you...she's definatly her father's child!
The firefighters came to Jaxon's school in January. He was so excited and talked about it for like a week straight, but when they acutally came, he was shy and grumpy...sometimes I don't know what to do with him...
Jaxon's school also had a field trip to Smith's where they got this cool hairnet (along with other things, but I think he thought this was the best)...he was pretty excited about it and was very upset when I threw it away!

Two great websites!

So, I have to take a little time and post about two companies...mozy.com and winkflash.com

About four months ago, our computer was having issues and we thought we lost everything...pictures, scrapbook stuff, work stuff, everything. Well, luckily we got it working again and were so relieved. A little while after that, my brother-in-law told us about a company called Mozy that does remote backup of your computer for like $5 a month. I thought that was cool and didn't think too much more about it. Well, about two months ago, I was just sitting at the computer and thought, "Maybe I should check out this mozy.com and start doing a remote backup." Well am I glad I did! Last week our computer died and I think it's dead for good this time. We have another computer he had bought a while to use, so I wasn't worried about not having a computer but then I thought, "Oh crap, what about all my data on the other computer?" But my worries were swept away when I remembered I was using Mozy! I am so glad that my brother-in-law told me about them and I am so glad I took the time to sign up and everything because now I have all my data that would have been lost otherwise!

And now for Winkflash. About a month ago, my sister-in-law emailed me and told me a promo code for winkflash.com to use for photobooks. Well, it just so happened that I have had Jaxon's scrapbook done now for about four months and was just waiting for a good sale, so I checked out the website and made my photobook. Well, I don't know what I was thinking, but I used the template on the website that makes the pictures about 1/2 the size I wanted them, so when I got the book in the mail I was disappointed to say the least. I emailed them thinking it was worth a shot to see if they would do anything for me and low and behold, they responded back and told me that if I was unsatisfied with the product, I could return it, they would refund my money and I could order a new one and they gave me another promo code to use so I could get it for the same price! I am so excited...even though it was my fault, they are more than happy to let me try again without having to pay extra!

So, there are my little plugs for these two companies...I hope you enjoyed the commercials :)

Someday & Today

Someday I will be able to sleep in past 7:00

Someday I will be able to take a shower and get ready all by myself.

Someday I will be able to go to the bathroom without somebody coming to check on me.

Someday my house will be clean for more than 5 minutes.

Someday it won't take me 15 minutes to get everybody loaded in the car ready to go somewhere.

Someday I will be able to sit down and read an adult book in peace and quite.

Someday I will not have to repeat myself 15 times before something gets done.

Someday I will not have to count to three in order for something to get done.

Someday I will not have to change 10 diapers a day.

Someday I will not have to change my clothes three times a day because they have spit up, poop, or food the kids were eating on them.

Someday I will not have to wipe a snotty nose twenty times a day.

Someday I will not have to be a referee for my kids.

Someday I will not have to clean up pee on the bathroom floor because my little boy "missed".

Someday all these things will happen, but until then, I will cherish today and here is what I have today...

Today I got to listen to my little boy say, "I love you" and not because he wanted something either!

Today I got to sit down with my kids and read them books.

Today I got to hold my sweet baby while he went to sleep.

Today I got to listen to the sound of laughter coming from the room where two of my kids were actually playing nice together!

Today I got to look at my sweet little girl sicking her thumb.

Today I got to see the pure joy on my little boy's face while he was showing me what he did at school.

Today I got to comfort my little girl after she bonked her head on the tile.

Today I got to make my newborn smile and coo.

Today I got to see the excitement on my little girl's face when I told her daddy was home.

Today I got to see my little boy run and find a hiding spot when I told him daddy was home.

Today I got to see my two oldest kids give each other a hug without being told to do so.

Today I have the pure joy of being a mother!
