Blog Makeover!
So, I came downstairs with the intentions of cleaning the office, which by the way is a total disaster, but then I got totally distracted and started messing around with my blog. Thanks Michelle for sending me the link, I figured it out...well sort of. So, here I am, it's 10:30 and I have accomplished nothing but redesigning my blog! Oh well, it was fun none the less!

Two more!
3/26/08
I just finished my Disneyland pages! Wahoo! But, I am not quite caught up. I have a couple more pages from when we were in St. George and I forgot about some pictures I had taken of Brynn about a month and a half ago, I think I posted them on here...I have to do those and Easter then I am caught up with Brynn...until I take more pictures!

Well since I was awake this morning at 4:00 and couldn't sleep because my throat, ear, neck, and head hurt so much, I decided that I should work on a page. I am finally starting to feel better now, hopefully I will get rid of this crap very soon!
On a bright note, I was looking through my pictures last night and I am so close to being caught up with Brynn! I think I only have one or two pages left then our Disneyland trip and I am caught up! I am so excited! Now I just have to start on Jaxon's!

Hanging out at Grandma & Grandpa's house
We went swimming the day after we got home from Disneyland while we were staying with my parents. It was Brynn's first time really swimming and she loved it! I just thought he bathing suit was cute!
This is the kid taking a bath at my parents' house. Their tub has jets, so Jason turned them on with bubbles in the tub and this was the result. It was pretty cool. The both thought it was pretty cool, but Jaxon didn't like getting the bubbles in his mouth!
On the drive home, I looked in the back seat and this is what I saw. What a crazy boy!

More Characters
Jaxon had so much fun with Peter Pan. He was kind of hard to track down though! He was talking to some other kids, so we got in line to see him, but he took off ( I think they have to keep moving around). Luckily we found him a couple of minutes later and Jaxon got to talk to him. It was pretty cool because Peter Pan talked to Jaxon for like a full minute, which is rare! He was really cute with Jaxon and Jaxon thought it was great!
We almost didn't get to meet Buzz...it was our last day at Disneyland and we came off the Buzz ride and we spotted Buzz, so we ran over and got in line. We were probably the sixth people in line and the Disneyland person said that Buzz was only going to be out for about three more minutes. I was hoping so much that we would make it because Jaxon would be devastated otherwise. Luckily we made it! We wanted to hurry so the people behind us could see him too, so Jaxon only got to see him for maybe 20-25 seconds, but after we were done, he looked at me and said, "That was awesome! Buzz is so nice!"
Brynn thought Mickey was pretty cool!
Meeting the Characters!
Disneyland Pictures
Jaxon was so nice to share his Mickey ice cream with Brynn. She was more than happy to have some too! He really is such a good big brother!
All the kids with their bug glasses on!
Jaxon was nice and also shared his sucker Grandma & Grandpa got for him with Brynn. We didn't even know he was doing it until we stopped to get in line for a ride!
Brynn on a chair in Mickey's house.
Brynn and Jaxon in a car in toon town. Brynn was about to slide right off that seat, so it's a good thing Jason took the picture fast!

So I am sick :( It started yesterday at around 3:30 and hasn't gotten any better. I have an awful sore throat, headache and all that fun stuff. Jason was so sweet after dinner he took the kids to Lowe's aka "the man store" by Jaxon so I could relax. I decided to hang out on the computer and get a page done. What a sweet husband I have! It was great to have an hour and a half to myself! So, I hope I get rid of this crud soon because it isn't fun at all. At least my kids don't have it, yet...knock on wood!

Slowing Down a Bit!
Well, I have to tell you all that I might not post as much for a little while. I am taking an online class to renew my teaching license. I thought I had enough points, but they will only take 25 of the 50 points I earned while substituting, so now I have to take a couple of online classes to get my license renewed. So, that might take up most of my time, but I will try to get some pages done and posted as soon as I can!
We're Back!
Well, we got back from our awesome vacation yesterday. It was actually kind of nice to be home, even though we had a ton of fun! We left on Friday the 7th and headed to St. George. We spent a couple of days there relaxing, shopping, and spending time with my parents and sister. On Sunday My parents, two nieces, and our little family started our drive to Disneyland!
We got to Disneyland on Sunday afternoon and headed to Disneyland and were there until about noon on Thursday. We had such a great time! Jaxon had so much fun. He loved riding all of the rides, meeting all of the characters (this time he wasn't scared of them at all, when we went in October he was a little leery of all of them), eating all of the treats Grandma and Grandpa bought for him, and spending time with his Grandma, Grandpa, and cousins.
I have to share this funny story. We measured Jaxon before we left and he was about 38 1/2 inches tall. Well, there are quite a few rides at Disneyland and California Adventure that have height requirements of 40" or taller. So, Jason had this great idea to try to find shoes with thick soles to make him taller. So, we went to Payless and found some hiking boots that gave him some more height and then we bought some insoles to put in the shoes as well. We thought for sure he would be tall enough. Well, either our tape measure was off or Disneyland's was because he was still too short. But don't worry, Jason stuck some napkins in his boots and after that he was good to go. We had to carry him onto the rides because he couldn't walk in his shoes because they were so uncomfortable. Now mind you, we didn't take him on any of the rides like Space Mountain or Tower of Terror that would have scared the crud out of him, we took him on Soarin' Over California, Matterhorn, Splash Mountain (his favorite), and Space Tours. He had so much fun going on all of these rides, I was so glad that Jason is so inventive and had such a good idea!
Like I said, we headed back for St. George on Thursday afternoon and got there at about 8:00 pm. The next day we went swimming and just relaxed. We left St. George on Sunday morning at about 10:30. The weather was not so good! It was spitting snow in St. George when we left so we knew we were in for a fun drive! After we had a Jeep loose control in front of us and almost hit us, we were a little freaked out, but had to drive another 60 miles until we got to Fillmore. At that point the weather was getting better and we had clear roads most of the way home. We stopped off at Jason's parents' house to pick up our dog and visit for a minute then we were home!
We all had a great time, even though I think it will probably take my parents a couple of weeks to recuperate! We can't wait to go back! I will try to get some pictures posted tomorrow, but I can't promise anything!

No More Mister Nice Guy!
Well, I guess it should be, "no more miss nice girl." Anyway...Brynn has found a way to protest if she doesn't like what someone is doing. We discovered this about three weeks ago when we were in Sacrament meeting up in Bear Lake. Brynn was playing the a magna-doodle toy and Jaxon wanted it. Well Brynn is usually so easy going, I took it from her and gave it to Jaxon...Big mistake! Brynn let us know her displeasure right away with a huge scream! So, I took her out for a minute and she seemed fine, so we went back in. Well, Jaxon tried to take something else from her with the same results.
Later that day as we were driving home, I was telling Jaxon that Brynn is no longer going to let you get away with taking her toys and doing whatever you want. He didn't really have much to say, but as the week progressed, he understood what I was talking about. It used to be that if he wanted a toy she was playing with, he could get her another toy and take the one he wanted, not anymore!
Brynn is such a sweet girl that it is kind of funny to hear this loud screech come from her, but in a way I am glad that she's learned to stand up for herself in her own way!

Another one!
I got two pages done today, wahoo! This is to make up for the fact that I probably won't get anymore done until we get back from vacation in a week and a half! Tomorrow starts the packing nightmare and I have to clean the house because I hate coming home to a messy house! So, we'll see if I get anymore pages done before we leave!
My New Obsession
So, I decided to try and make Brynn some bows while we were up at the cabin last weekend and this is how they turned out. I am by no means a pro at this, but I thought they turned out pretty cute considering I am not a crafty person at all! Now, if only it didn't take me like 45 minutes to finish one bow! Maybe if I weren't such a perfectionist!

3/3/08
Welcome to March! I am so excited Spring is getting closer, I am so sick of the cold weather! We just got back from a weekend at the cabin in Bear Lake, so I have been spending a good part of the day unpacking our packs, just to have to repack them for our trip to St. George and Disneyland on Friday. It's a pain to pack for two kids!
Anyhow...here is a page for today. Let me know if you think the colors and elements and paper goes well together. I used two different kits, so I hope they work well together, I think they are ok, but let me know what you think.
I can't guarantee I will get a page done everyday this week because I have a lot to do before we leave!
