Catching Up!

Okay, so I have been a slacker lately and haven't updated for a long time, but I finally took the time and updated everything so I hope you enjoy...

Jordan's Blessing Day!

On January 4th we blessed Jordan. It was such a special day...I always love baby blessings. I am posting these pictures for my mom and dad who weren't able to come because my mom was sick. I have to be honest and say that these pictures weren't taken until about a week and a half after the actual blessing day because I forgot to take pictures on the actual day...we did the same thing with Jaxon...I need to remember these things!

I am so thankful to have Jordan a part of our family...he's such a great blessing to us. It feels like he's been in our family forever and he's only been here two months! I think Heavenly Father sends us babies to remind us how much He loves us because if you think of how much you love your children, can you imagine how much Heavenly Father loves us...it's amazing isn't it?! I am thankful for the Plan of Salvation and for the knowledge that I have that families are eternal...what a great blessing and a great comfort!

We love you Jordan and are so glad you are part of our family!

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures that I think are fun...

Brynn wanted to color and stamp one day with Jaxon and apparently she thought the stamps looked like chapstick because that's what she used them as...isn't she cute? (Again...don't know why this is underlined, but oh well!)

Doesn't she have a cute cheesy smile? I love it when she pulls out Jaxon's Thomas chair right in the middle of the kitchen and sits down to read a book...so not in the way!
Jordan has decided that he would rather sleep in his carseat than in his crib, so I now put him to sleep in his carseat in his crib...which by the way is in my closet until the basement gets done! How fun!
Jordan is a little higher maintanence than my other kids were...here is a good example of that, he wasn't happy he wasn't being held!
But then he looks at me with those beautiful eyes and how can I resist holding him?
I took this picture yesterday...Brynn wanted to play with Jordan...her playing consists of trying to yank the binkie out of his mouth so he starts crying...isn't she sweet!

He's almost started liking sitting in the Bumbo...for about 30 seconds then he's done, but this picture was just so darn cute with his little smile. Yes that is a PINK Bumbo he's in, but I got it with Brynn and it was like $15 cheaper than usual, but pink was the only color they had, so he gets to sit in a pink Bumbo...oh well!

Snow!

The day after Christmas, Jason didn't have to work and we had a TON of snow here, so Jaxon really wanted to play in the snow...he actually really wanted to go sledding, but I forgot to get him a sled before Christmas and wouldn't you know...every single store around us was sold out of them, trust me...I called them all! So, we got the kids bundled up and Jason took them out in the yard to play...I was just heartbroken that I had to stay inside with Jordan (I'm not a big fan of playing in the snow!)

Yes, those are Jason's big socks over Brynn's legs and shoes, but I totally forgot she had some snow boots my sister had given me until she came in from playing in the snow...Duh! Brynn had fun for about 2 minutes then she was ready to come inside. Jason said as soon as her glove fell off and she touched the snow with her bare hands she was done!
Jaxon lasted a little longer, but not too much, I think he was out there a total of about 10 minutes before he was ready to come inside...all that work getting them dressed in their snow gear and it's over in 10 minutes!

This picture is just out the door from our garage to the back yard, there is usally a step down to get on the grass, but the snow was so deep, there it was even with the concrete, so Jaxon just jumped right in face first!

Christmas Day!

Isn't Christmas morning so fun with little kids. Our kids slept in until about 8:00...which is very rare, but seeing as how they were up until after 10:00 the night before I can see why they did! When they woke up we had to remind Jaxon that it was Christmas and that Santa had come, then he rushed out to see all of the presents. This was my attempt to get a picture of them together in front of the tree...apparently, Brynn thought the presents were for laying on! (Jordan is not in this picture because he was still asleep...don't worry he got fun presents like diapers and wipes and a toy or two!)

We started with stockings first...Jaxon was pretty excited about his flossers because Santa had brought them last year and he told us that he hoped Santa didn't forget to bring them this year too!

Brynn didn't really get the whole present thing this year, but she liked all the fun toys she got!

All Jaxon asked Santa for was the Wall E movie and a Wall E toy...lucking Santa pulled through!

Then it was off to Jason's parents house to celebrate with his side of the family. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins and opening the fun presents Grandma & Grandpa Greensides got them. Jaxon got a Nerf gun....

And a remote control Lightning McQueen!

Brynn got one of the cutest dolls I have seen...
And a stroller to push her in (not sure why this is underlined!)

We had a great time visiting and hanging out with family. Christmas is such a special time and it is such a great time to reflect on our Savior and all that He has done for us. I am so thankful for my Savior and the sacrifice he made for me...I often think of Mary giving birth in the stable and how terrible that must have been ( I thought about this more this year after having just had a baby) but the knowledge she had of how important and special this baby was must have helped her through it. I am just so thankful for the Savior and the restored gospel and for my knowledge of it's truthfulness. I don't know what I would do without it1

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was full of fun festivities. My parents came up from St. George to spend Christmas with us. This was actually my dad's first time meeting Jordan. I love this picture! Not the best quality, but precious non the less!

We hung out a while and got dinner cooking, then my sister and her family came for the evening. My grandma came to spend the evening with us as well...it was also her first time meeting Jordan

We all had a delicious dinner of prime rib...thanks Mom and Dad...and sat around and talked while the kids played. Then it was time for the kids to open their presents from Grandma & Grandpa! They were so excited. Jaxon got a cute Sesame Street blanket that Grandma made just for him, which he loves and sleeps with every night along with the pillow case she made!
If I let him, he would sleep in the cars pajamas Grandma made for him too, but I insist that they get washed every now and then!

Brynn got an adorable Pooh blanket and cute jammies too and a doll. As soon as she opened the bag and saw the blanket she was so excited! She instantly started cuddling the blanket!

Then she had to show Grandma Great what she got!

Then she was all tuckered out and needed to rest with her blanket and doll!

For dessert we broke out the chocolate fountain! The kids had a blast and got just a little bit messy!

Then it was time for bed to anxiously await the arrival of Santa!

We had a great Christmas Eve and were so thankful that my family could come and spend time with us...we loved it and had a great time!

Jaxon's Christmas Program

Jaxon's preschool put on a little Christmas program and it was so cute...the only problem was that Jaxon came down a pretty bad ear infection that day so he was GRUMPY! I was so bummed because he was so excited for his program and when we got there, he didn't want to do anything. When we first walked in, he threw a fit because he wanted to sit by his friend, Macy, so his cute teacher had all the kids scoot down so he could sit by her. Then they started singing, everyone that is but Jaxon! He just sat there looking grumpy!

They sang a couple of songs then it was time to change into their costumes for the nativity. Jaxon was a cute shepard, but you wouldn't believe what I had to do to get him to put this darn costume on...don't be fooled...if you think he looks happy in this picture, he's not happy...I bribed him to smile (which he's not really doing) by promising him a treat when we got home.

They did a little nativity and everyone was supposed to stand up around the tree...but my grumpy little boy didn't want to move from his chair...what a stink!

Afterwards they had some refreshements and his teacher gave him a present...that seemed to make things all better...for a while at least!

Meeting Santa!

On December 4, they had a little Christmas party at our Community Center. The main reason we went was so Jaxon could meet Santa. We waited patiently until Santa finally arrived. He sat down and read a couple of stories to the kids then made his way out in the hall so everyone could have a chance to meet him. Earlier Jaxon had asked me if the tall Santa was going to be there. I couldn't figure out what he was talking about, but when Santa walked in, I realized what he was talking about. He didn't want Santa to be big, he is a little frightful of big, tall guys...so when he saw that Santa was big, he was a little concerned.

He was fine when Santa wasn't to close to him, he even gave him a little wave!

He wasn't too sure about sitting on his lap, but he did a good job and told him he wanted a Wall E movie and toy (which by the way it wasn't too easy to find a Wall E toy!), even though he was a little nervous!
He even gave us a good smile!
Brynn on the other hand was not impressed at all!
